The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a new mobile app called “DMRC TRAVEL.” This app allows commuters to purchase Delhi Metro tickets without the need to visit ticket counters or use automatic token vending machines. With the app, users can now buy paperless online mobile QR tickets for travel across the Delhi Metro network in Delhi and NCR.
here are the steps on how to buy a Delhi Metro QR paperless online ticket on the DMRC Travel app:
- Download the DMRC Travel app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
- Open the app and create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Select the “QR Ticket” option from the home screen.
- Enter your travel details, such as the origin and destination stations, the number of passengers, and the date and time of travel.
- Select your preferred mode of payment and make the payment.
- Once the payment is successful, your QR ticket will be generated.
- Show the QR ticket to the scanner at the entry gate of the metro station.
Here are some additional details about QR paperless online tickets:
- You can buy a maximum of 6 QR tickets at a time.
- The validity of a QR ticket is till the end of the business day, i.e., till around 11:00 PM.
- You can cancel a QR ticket up to 30 minutes before the start of your journey.
- The fare for a QR ticket is the same as the fare for a token or smart card.
