The Indian Army has established a strong security grid for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, starting on July 1.
The security arrangement consists of three layers.There are multiple layers. Each layer is staffed by a distinct force. The Jammu and Kashmir Police handle one layer. The CRPF is responsible for another layer. The Army oversees the third layer.
Both ground and aerial surveillance will be used to deter terror threats.
The security grid has been carefully planned and coordinated with other agencies, with a focus on pilgrim safety and preventing terrorist attacks. The Army is prepared to handle any challenges during the yatra.
The Amarnath Yatra is a Hindu pilgrimage in the Kashmir Valley, attracting numerous tourists. Over 4 lakh pilgrims are expected this year. Due to the potential terrorist threat, security forces have taken necessary precautions to safeguard the pilgrims.
