The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has included Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in a new charge sheet related to the land-for-jobs scam. This charge sheet was presented on July 3, 2023, at the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.
According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Tejashwi Yadav is alleged to be a “beneficiary” of the scam, which involved offering Group D jobs in the railways in exchange for land plots. The charge sheet also lists Tejashwi Yadav’s father, former railway minister Lalu Prasad, and his mother, former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi, as accused individuals.
Tejashwi Yadav has firmly denied the allegations, labeling them as “politically motivated.” He has expressed his intention to contest the case through legal means.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) charge sheet represents the most recent development in a longstanding case that has plagued the Yadav family for several years. The investigation is still ongoing, and the final outcome remains uncertain.
Nevertheless, the inclusion of Tejashwi Yadav as an accused person in the charge sheet is a significant development that could have far-reaching consequences for his political career.
