Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a Rs 250-crore milk processing plant in Kangra district. The plant will be set up by NDDB in collaboration with the state government. It will have a processing capacity of 1 lakh litres of milk per day. The plant is expected to be completed in two years.
The plant will increase the value of milk produced in the state. It will create employment opportunities for rural youth. It will also improve the income of milk producers.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to promoting the dairy sector. He said that the plant will be a major boost to the dairy sector.. The Chief Minister also expressed the government’s commitment to promoting the dairy sector and revealed plans to establish a dairy university.
The dairy industry and milk producers in the state welcomed the announcement. They said that the plant will be a positive step for the dairy sector.
