The settlement, announced on Friday, resolves two lawsuits filed by Abby Grossberg against Fox News, its parent company, Fox Corp., and several former co-workers, including Tucker Carlson.

In one lawsuit, Abby Grossberg alleged sexist and misogynistic behavior while working at Fox News. She claimed she was denied promotions due to her gender and faced unwanted sexual advances from male colleagues.

In the other lawsuit, Grossberg alleged that News’ legal team pressured her to give false or misleading testimony in Dominion Inc.’s defamation lawsuit against the network. Dominion is an elections technology company falsely accused by Carlson and other News hosts of rigging the 2020 presidential election.

Fox News, however, did not admit any wrongdoing in the settlement. The network justified the settlement as a means to avoid the cost and distraction of prolonged litigation.

This settlement adds to a series of legal battles involving Fox News, which has faced allegations of sexual harassment, discrimination, and other workplace misconduct. The network has previously paid millions of dollars to settle lawsuits brought by former employees.

Grossberg’s successful settlement serves as a significant victory for her and her legal team. It also highlights the ongoing challenges women encounter in the workplace, particularly in male-dominated industries like the media.
