Procter & Gamble (P&G) India has revealed its plans to establish a new export manufacturing hub in Gujarat with an investment of Rs 2,000 crore. The facility, located in Sanand, Gujarat, will focus on manufacturing healthcare products, particularly digestive health items, from P&G’s global portfolio. This investment is anticipated to generate more than 1,000 job opportunities.
With the addition of this new facility, P&G will have a total of nine manufacturing plants in India. Currently, the company operates plants in Ahmedabad, Manesar, Bhiwandi, Rudrapur, Silvassa, Chennai, Tirupati, and Goa.
P&G’s decision to invest in Gujarat reflects its confidence in the state’s manufacturing capabilities. Gujarat has a significant presence of multinational corporations, and the state government actively encourages investments in the manufacturing sector.
The completion of the new P&G facility is projected for 2025. Once operational, it will serve as a prominent exporter of healthcare products from India.
