Indian Universities on the Rise in Global Rankings, Thanks to Government Policies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the positive impact of the government’s futuristic policies on the global recognition of Indian universities. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of Delhi University, he emphasized the government’s commitment to improving education quality in India.

Underlining the initiatives undertaken, Modi mentioned the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the National Research Foundation (NRF), and the Startup India initiative.

These efforts have made Indian universities more competitive internationally, he noted.

Modi further expressed the government’s determination to establish India as a global hub for education and research.

A conducive environment for universities and research institutions to thrive is being fostered, along with financial assistance for infrastructure upgrades and enhanced education quality.
