NCP appoints Jitendra Awhad as new Leader of Opposition


The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has chosen Jitendra Awhad as the new Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Maharashtra Assembly and the chief whip of the party in the lower house. Awhad, who represents the Mumbra-Kalwa constituency, was appointed to these positions following the departure of the previous LoP, Ajit Pawar, who joined the Maharashtra government led by Eknath Shinde.
