It is noteworthy that this is the first time since 2012 that a team other than Mercedes has claimed the top three spots in qualifying at Silverstone. Additionally, it is the first occasion where Norris has qualified on the front row of the grid for a British Grand Prix.

Verstappen’s pole position provides a significant boost to his championship aspirations. He currently leads the standings by 46 points, surpassing Charles Leclerc of Ferrari. The British Grand Prix is the 11th race of the season and marks the beginning of a three-race streak in Europe.

The race itself is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. BST. UK viewers can watch it live on Sky Sports F1, while viewers in the US can tune in to ESPN.
