Alen Stajcic, the head coach of the Philippines women’s national football team, has announced that he will not be renewing his contract after the team’s exit from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. During his tenure as head coach, Stajcic guided the Philippines to their historic first-ever World Cup appearance in 2023. However, their campaign ended with a bottom-place finish in their group, having suffered three losses. Despite this, he commended the team’s efforts and achievements throughout the qualifying stages and the World Cup.
