Union Minister Smriti Irani recently asserted that the Modi government has generated a remarkable 58% increase in employment opportunities compared to the previous administration. Speaking at the inauguration of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Season 4 in Lucknow, she emphasized the government’s commitment to providing employment prospects for the nation’s youth.
According to Irani, the Modi government has facilitated the creation of over 8.80 lakh (880,000) jobs in the past eight years. The Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, a government-sponsored skill development initiative, plays a pivotal role in achieving this feat. With an allocation of Rs 1,500 crore for PMKVY Season 4, the scheme offers training opportunities in diverse sectors of the economy.
