PlayStation Plus June Games Revealed

Sony has announced that it is conducting tests for cloud streaming of ‘supported PS5 games’. This feature will be exclusively available for PS Plus Premium/Deluxe members and will enable players to directly stream select PS5 games, including those in the Game Catalog and Game Trials, without the need to download them. While no specific titles have been confirmed yet, PlayStation has assured that they aim to include as many games as possible. This announcement comes on the heels of Sony unveiling Project Q, a handheld device utilizing similar technology. Furthermore, Sony has disclosed a lineup of 27 free games for PS Plus Extra and Deluxe subscribers set to be released this month.

“Mobility in gaming habits is an increasingly significant trend, and the cloud will be instrumental in capitalizing on this trend,” stated Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) in an interview. He emphasized aggressive plans for cloud gaming, building on their previous venture into the technology through PlayStation Now, which was subsequently integrated into the revised PS Plus offering. The Project Q handheld device, unveiled during the recent PlayStation Showcase event, features an 8-inch 1080p screen flanked by a button layout and analogue sticks resembling the PS5 DualSense controller. Scheduled for launch next year, it will enable game streaming from the PS5 console via Remote Play or Wi-Fi, aligning with the latest development.
