Deadly Roller Coaster Accident at Liseberg Amusement Park

A roller coaster crash in Sweden occurred on Saturday, June 25, 2023. One person was killed, and nine others were injured in the incident. The crash took place at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden. It happened when the front car of the wooden roller coaster named “Jupiter” derailed.

The car was carrying a total of 10 people during the accident. Sadly, a 20-year-old woman among them lost her life. The remaining nine individuals sustained injuries in the crash. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening, and they were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing. However, initial suspicions suggest that a mechanical failure may have led to the derailment of the roller coaster. As a result, the amusement park authorities have decided to close the roller coaster indefinitely while the investigation continues.
