Only the Broncos and Panthers have secured their spots in the finals, so every week is crucial for all teams.

The Sharks have been doing really well against the Cowboys, especially in Townsville over the past few years.

Recent performance suggests that Cronulla shouldn’t have a problem covering the 4.5 points as underdogs, and they might even score more than 20 points in their attack.

Scott Drinkwater will be a key player for the Cowboys in this game, as he’s been scoring a lot of tries lately at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Cronulla has covered the line in 6 out of the last 7 regular season matches against the Cowboys. The Sharks have covered the line in 11 out of their 12 victories in 2023. Cronulla has scored over 20 points in their last 7 matches against North Queensland. Scott Drinkwater has scored 5 tries in his last 4 games at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Head to Head

Apart from losing in the Preliminary Final last year, The Sharks have been much better than the Cowboys in the regular season, winning the last nine games, including the last four in North Queensland.

They already played against each other in round 6 at Shark Park, and Cronulla won 44-6.

North QLD Cowboys Form

The break came at the right time for the Cowboys after losing their last two matches against the Titans and the Broncos.

North Queensland had a great run of six wins before these losses, putting them in a good position for the finals in 2023.
