Tom Pidcock is set to participate in the 2023 Tour de France with the goal of securing stage wins. This will be his second appearance at the race, following his stage victory last year. Joining Pidcock in the Ineos Grenadiers team is Egan Bernal, who will be returning to the Tour for the first time since his severe crash in 2021.
Alongside Tom Pidcock and Bernal, the Ineos Grenadiers team will consist of talented riders such as Geraint Thomas, Daniel Martinez, Adam Yates, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Dylan van Baarle, and Filippo Ganna. With a strong lineup, the team aims to make a mark in both the overall standings and individual stages.
Bernal, who claimed the Tour de France championship in 2019, has been recovering from a back injury sustained during a training accident in January 2021. He made his comeback in March and has demonstrated promising form since then.
Pidcock is recognized as a versatile rider, excelling in various cycling disciplines including cyclo-cross, mountain biking, and road racing. His primary focus at the Tour de France is expected to be the cobbled stages and mountainous terrain.
The Ineos Grenadiers team is considered one of the top contenders for the Tour de France title. They will strive to challenge for the overall victory with Bernal leading the charge, while also targeting stage wins through the efforts of Pidcock, Thomas, and Martinez.
The 2023 Tour de France will commence in Copenhagen on July 1 and conclude in Paris on July 24.
