Amazon’s bold new vision for the future of broadband

Amazon’s Project Kuiper has multiple locations:

The satellite processing hub in Florida is a significant $120 million facility. It is dedicated to preparing Amazon’s Kuiper satellites for launch. The facility boasts a massive 100,000 square foot building and will employ around 50 staff members. Amazon plans to send the first batch of satellites to this hub for processing in the second half of 2025.

Project Kuiper aims to build a network of 3,200 low Earth-orbiting satellites. Its purpose is to provide global broadband internet coverage. The company has set a target to initiate the satellite launches in 2024. The ultimate goal is to achieve full operational status for the network by 2029.
